After being widely accepted in other states for addiction treatment, the day treatment program has become quite popular for curing alcohol addiction in Oklahoma too. The program is not exactly a day treatment program as the name suggests, because some centers allot hours in the evening for the treatment, but it is mostly a daily program. Usually, centers that have the day treatment program in Oklahoma will call in patients for seven days a week for three to four hours each day. These hours can be adjusted according to the patient’s condition. The hours are usually arranged in the early mornings or the late evenings. The main intention for such timings is to allow people to continue with their other obligations even as they get their addiction treatment.

This is what makes the day addiction treatment in Oklahoma so very popular. People do not need to get isolated in an inpatient setting but they can come in for treatment at their own preferable timings. This is quite a different concept than most other treatment programs in the state.

However, it must be remembered that the day treatment program is not suitable for everyone. The program is suitable only for patients who are in mild to moderate kinds of addiction and it is important that they do not have any physical or mental conditions that can impair their treatment. The treatment program does have a detox treatment included, but it is not as intensive as in an inpatient setting. If you are considering this form of treatment, make sure you get advice from a counselor beforehand whether this treatment will be suitable for you or not.
